I need to build a resource directory tool for a non-profit site — any recommendation?
I am building a web site for a non-profit. They want a member directory that will list the member organization and services they provide. I am looking for a tool, template that I can use to provide this functionality. I am building the site in Dreamweaver CS4, my Dreamweaver skills are intermediate. I would rather use a technology than hand-code it.
Any suggestions? Your help is much appreciated.

You’ll need to learn PHP and SQL at least. Then build it in PHP, using SQL to talk to the database the information is stored in. AJAX will help to refresh the data on the page without having to refresh the whole page. Dreamweaver? It’s good if you have too much free disk space, otherwise it’s useless for real web development, like this project.
