i have a small course in my subject matter, i want to make a list of like 2-3000 people who would be interested in buying material related to my subject matter.
how can i do that.

One simple approach is to make them a KILLER-OFFER in return for joining your mailing list.
For example you could provide a short excerpts from your course as a series of emails. With each excerpt, be sure to offer them an opportunity to buy!
You may also want to include a short letter introducing the excerpt and it never huts to include testimonials.

It is advisable that you have a squeeze page where you can offer a free report or gift in exchange for contact details.
The gift or report should be helpful to the people you are targeting.
A squeeze page is a website where you will have a persuasive sales copy so that people will appreciate the benefits of your free offer and thus give their contact details though your opt-in form.
The opt-in form, of course, is integrated with your autoresponder where you should ideally have preloaded follow-up messages.
In a single opt-in, you only need a 2-page website. One page for your squeeze page, and one for the download page of a free digital report or something. The download page in this case is also your thank you page.
In a double opt-in, you will need a 3 -page website. The thank you page is where you tell subscribers that they have to confirm in an email that will be sent to them before they are led to the download page to get their gift.
